Inviting all Senior rugby players on Sunshine Coast to play for USC Rugby 2022

The University of the Sunshine Coast Rugby Club is inviting all rugby players to come and play for the mighty Barbarians.

We want to extend an open invite to all players who are thinking of playing seniors rugby this year. You may have never played rugby before, you may be new to the coast, or you may want to find a senior club to play for since leaving school, USC Rugby wants to extend a warm welcome to you and hope you will consider playing for the club in season 2022.

2021 was a very successful season with A-Grade winning the competition at home, and Reserve Grade losing a very close encounter with Noosa. Currently there are three grades in Senior Men’s, A Grade, Reserves, and Thirds, and one in women’s. We will be aiming for all sides playing in this year’s final series. The Senior A and Reserve Grade competition for 2022 has 6 teams from Noosa in the north to Wynnum in the south. The Third-Grade competition is played on Friday nights and includes Gympie and Brothers.

You don’t have to be a uni student to play for USC Rugby. Over 60% of the current squad are not students, with many tradies, professional services, and hospitality workers. So don’t think you need to be a student to play. Our club is diverse in its make-up and welcomes everyone from all backgrounds.
